About Me

I believe that we all carry multiple stories about ourselves shaped by the people and systems around us. We often forget to be compassionate to ourselves when we're remembering these stories or are in the midst of them. My own journey with self-compassion has shaped the way I provide counselling. Sitting with all the chapters, dark and light, of your story with compassion can promote healing and help create new meaning.

My Approach

In our society, we are rarely given the skills and opportunities to truly sit with our darkness and pain. This can lead to feeling disconnected with ourselves and others. We all have dark and light chapters in the stories of our lives. Acknowledging both the light and the darkness, can support the journey you are on and help you connect with your 'self' and others in a more meaningful way.

I utilize a trauma-informed, holistic, compassionate, strengths-based, and non-pathologizing approach to my counselling work. I incorporate several techniques and modalities in my practice, including narrative therapy, mindfulness, and meditation.
