Prab Dhot (RSW)
About Me
As a South Asian woman and first-generation Canadian, I understand the meaningful role that culture can play in one’s life, and I welcome these conversations in our work together.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Nicola Valley Institute of Technology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. Professionally, I have experience working across community organizations, forensic psychiatric services, healthcare, and private counselling. With a background in early childhood education, I have nearly 10 years of experience supporting children and youth.
My Approach
I provide holistic therapy that emphasizes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Using a trauma-informed and strength-based lens, I create a safe and inclusive space to support you through life’s ebbs and flows. I focus on the unique needs of each client and integrate a variety of theoretical modalities, including Narrative and Somatic Therapy, CBT, and DBT, tailoring my approach to what best supports your healing and growth.
