Raman Gill (RCC)
About Me
I bring 18 years of counselling experience and another 20 years of my own wellness journey, into my work. Having struggled with depression and survived early childhood trauma, my journey home (within) was not easy. Given this, I have much respect for the courage it takes to seek support. With much gratitude, I hold space for those I work with. I come from a belief that every being has all that is needed within them. We each are equipped with the resources and wisdom to move through this life with more ease and contentment. However, the noise and impact of life can act as a barrier or distraction from fully realizing our resilience, our potential, and our wisdom. My work is supporting your return home, to your wisdom.
My Approach
My work is grounded in the understanding of neuroscience and the core functionality that our nervous system plays in our narratives of who we are, why we are, and what we do. I use Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, and somatic practices to support everyone in recognizing the rhythm and rhyme of their own nervous system. In time, you learn to quiet the noise of the mind, develop tolerance and compassion to be with the experience of the body, and from there work with the wisdom that is within.
