Taylor Inkster

RSW, Yoga Instructor

With over seven years of experience in child welfare, I have dedicated my career to supporting families in strengthening relationships, building stability, and fostering a sense of community. As a Registered Social Worker, my work has given me deep insight into the challenges individuals face and the power of connection in healing. Through this experience, I have developed a compassionate, strengths-based approach that acknowledges the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

My journey with yoga began over ten years ago, and it became a profound tool for my own well-being, ultimately inspiring me to become an instructor. Now, as a trauma-informed yoga instructor and certified in chair yoga, I integrate movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to support individuals in their healing journey. Yoga therapy provides a body-centered approach to emotional well-being, helping to regulate the nervous system, process stress, and cultivate inner balance. Whether working with individuals managing anxiety, trauma, or everyday stress, my goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where clients can reconnect with themselves, build self-awareness, and develop tools for lasting well-being.

I am passionate about combining my background in social work with the therapeutic benefits of yoga to offer a holistic approach to healing. My practice is designed to meet each client where they are, whether through traditional yoga practices, trauma-informed approaches, or accessible chair yoga. I believe that every individual has the capacity for transformation, and I am honored to guide clients in finding empowerment and peace through movement, breath, and self-exploration.

My Hidden Talent/Something Unique About Me:

Something unique about me, I was struck by lightning during a thunderstorm in Whistler!

If I could be anywhere in the world right now:

I would find myself roaming the hills and farmlands of Ireland.
